India's interest in visiting the country increased on February 21, little than a week after reopening its borders to overseas visitors. Search enquiries for key Australian cities surged by 25-30% in February, according to travel brokers, airlines, and online platforms, while bookings increased by around 10% from January. According to data from travel companies such as Yatra.com and Ixigo, flight bookings to Australia have surged by around 10% since February 21, and are expected to grow even more in March when extra planes begin to run.
