Reaching out to tier-2 and tier-3 cities is one strategy used by Capgemini, a top supplier of software services to the automotive industry and other industries, to accomplish its goal of hiring over 60,000 people this year. How many of the new hires will be placed in the car sector could not be reliably determined.
Also due to the unexpected surge and buoyancy in the job market, Capgemini has been suffering a comparatively higher attrition rate than many of its competitors over the previous few quarters. This has caused a shortage of talent in several skill sets.
