ESOPs buyback performed by startup's - Part 2

Just to give a brief recap, in the first part of our ESOPs buyback post we covered the year-wise comparisons of ESOPs buyback as well as the Top 10 ESOPs buyback of 2022 & 2023 respectively.

In the second part of ESOPs buyback, we aim to give a view of Sector-wise analysis of startups that have participated in ESOPs buyouts. While researching & analyzing part 2 of the ESOP buyout, we got to the following conclusions:

1. E-commerce & Fintech. The sector has led the way with most ESOP buyouts with a cumulative value over the last 3 years standing at US$ 813.5 Mn & 170.4 Mn respectively.

   
   

       2. 2023 has been the year of most ESOPs buyout value-wise despite the fact that funding has declined substantially.       

       

       3. Edtech., Logistics and marketplace sectors are the fast upcoming sectors that could drive ESOP payout growth going ahead.
