Over 60% of mass consumers plan to increase their online shopping budgets this festive season, bolstering e-commerce adoption across tier 2 cities, according to a recent survey by value e-commerce platform Meesho. Highlighting shopping patterns, the survey noted that around 60% of customers purchase in advance, 24% combine planned purchases with occasional last-minute buys, and 16% are purely last-minute shoppers.
The survey noted that nearly 50% of consumers depend on influencer affiliate links while shopping for trending products, and about 70% of consumers follow social media influencers for product reviews and hauls.
