  • BlackBuck digitizes 1.2 lakh truck operators in Tamil Nadu

    14 June 2023

India's largest trucking platform, BlackBuck, has digitized over 1.2 lakh truck operators in Tamil Nadu, allowing them to manage their entire business on their smartphones.
The platform, founded in 2015 by Rajesh Yabaji, ChanakyaHridaya, and Ramasubramanian B, aims to bring a digital revolution into the trucking ecosystem.
BlackBuck allows truckers to find loads, connect with new shippers, recharge Fastag, use fuel cards, track their trucks with GPS, and obtain low-interest rate truck loans.
The app is simple, vernacular technology, and available across 7 languages with voice support.
Cofounder B Ramasubramanian explains that BlackBuck's primary goal is to empower truck operators to manage and grow their business efficiently.
The logistics economy is dominated by road freight, with small fleet operators driving 85% of India's logistics needs.
However, the trucking industry is plagued by inefficiencies and relies on middlemen for shipments. BlackBuck's efforts have helped small fleet owners optimize their fleet usage, manage payments, and increase revenues.
Fleet operator Ramesh, who has been using the BlackBuck app for four years, reports increased control over his fleet and expenses.
