Navi Mumbai: A major fire broke out in a chemical manufacturing unit in the C-Block of Taloja MIDC, around 7pm on Thursday. A total 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot. Firefighters from MIDC, Cidco and Panvel City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) struggled for hours to douse the flames that engulfed at Chemspec Chemicals. Fire brigade personnel said no one was injured in the incident, but the thick smoke billowing out from the factory affected the motorists and local residents.
