HDFC Securities surpasses ₹25,000 crore in mutual fund AUM
  • HDFC Securities surpasses ₹25,000 crore in mutual fund AUM

    14 January 2025

HDFC Securities, a subsidiary of HDFC Bank, has crossed ₹25,000 crore in mutual fund assets under management (AUM). This marks a significant milestone for the broking firm, which has witnessed consistent growth in its mutual fund portfolio.
Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) have played a key role, contributing over 40% to the total AUM. This is significantly higher than the industry average of approximately 20%, HDFC Securities said.

“SIP is the best way of wealth creation for retail customers, especially in a volatile market,” said S Sambath Kumar, Head of Third-Party Product Distribution at HDFC Securities.

The company has seen its mutual fund AUM grow from ₹100 crore in 2016 to ₹25,000 crore in 2025, driven by increased adoption of SIPs.

Over 8 lakh customers have opted for SIPs through HDFC Securities, making it one of the top five players in new SIP registrations for the last three years, the firm said.
