Singapore: Indian private refiner Nayara Energy has issued a rare tender offering vacuum gasoil (VGO) for loading in September, market sources said on Thursday. The refiner has offered about 70,000 metric tons of VGO with maximum 3% sulphur content, scheduled to load from Vadinar port in the western Indian state of Gujarat between Sept. I and 10, the sources said. The refiner typically does not comment on commercial deals. VGO is a residual fuel that is usually produced after petroleum distillation. It can be used as a feedstock to make transportation fuels in refining processes. The company last exported a VGO cargo in December 2022, based on ship-tracking data from Kpler and LSEG, during a time when its Vadinar refinery was under maintenance. The cargo typically trades on a Dubai Crude pricing basis, said sources. The latest tender closes on Thursday with same-day validity.
