The Bangalore District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has held Lenskart guilty of providing poor service after an elderly couple faced serious issues with their bifocal spectacles. Even after paying over ₹20,000, including for insurance and extended warranty, the couple received no support from Lenskart when the frame broke just ten days after purchase and the glasses caused discomfort.
When they approached Lenskart for a replacement or repair under warranty, the company demanded ₹1,500 for repair instead. Even after several visits and requests, the couple got no relief from the company. Lenskart also failed to appear before the Commission during the proceedings.
