Peyush Bansal, the CEO of Lenskart and winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year award at The Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence 2024 highlighted his desire to transform the eyewear company into a global brand while ensuring a world-class consumer experience. Bansal’s growth focus comes amid ongoing “external discussions” about the omnichannel eyewear retailer’s initial public offering (IPO). He told us that taking the public was never his primary goal when founding Lenskart in 2010.
Potential IPO: “Going public may be a nice milestone, but it’s not the goal. The goal is to build a brand that delivers consistently in India or globally.”
