Swiggy has, for the first time, appointed three independent directors to the company’s Board.
They include logistics company Delhivery’s managing director & chief executive officer Sahil Barua, chartered accountant Shailesh Haribhakti, and Padma awardee and CMD of Tractor and Farm Equipment Ltd Mallika Srinivasan.
“They (the independent directors) have very rich and diverse experiences in building sustainable businesses at scale. Getting these new and powerful perspectives and strengthening our governance will immensely benefit us as we march ahead in our mission to bring unparalleled convenience to consumers,” Sriharsha Majety, chief executive officer and co-founder of Swiggy, said in a statement.
