Opting to utilize Swiggy's Genie service, which typically handles delivery tasks beyond food, he hoped to have his watch safely returned to him. The delivery person arrived at his friend's location, collected the bag containing the watch, and seemingly set off for the designated destination. However, things took an unexpected turn as the delivery person abruptly cancelled the order, blocked all communication channels, and vanished into thin air with the Apple Watch Ultra in his possession, the victim's friend told India Today Tech.
Determined to retrieve the stolen watch, the Swiggy user, aided by the location tracking feature on an iPhone, embarked on a pursuit at an astonishing hour — 2 a.m. Following the trace of the watch's location, the individuals successfully tracked down the delivery person to a Swiggy warehouse. Confronting the culprit, they managed to apprehend him red-handed with the Apple Watch Ultra in his possession, as he had already opened the package.
