It is a part of Swiggy Instamart’s new campaign. (Photo Credits: X) Swiggy Instamart on Wednesday started a quirky campaign requesting the citizens of Mumbai to step out and cast their vote in the ongoing Maharashtra assembly elections. As a part of their creative social movement, the quick-commerce arm of food delivery giant Swiggy has been giving away ‘tinday’ with some orders in Mumbai. Yes! You read that right. The campaign was highlighted by an X user who shared a picture of the paper bag in which she received ‘tinday’ with her order from Swiggy Instamart. The text on the packet reads, “Didn’t choose Tinday but stuck with Tinday? That’s what happens with someone else makes the choice for you. Cast your vote, own your choices." “(Swiggy) Instamart randomly sent me free tinday with my delivery today and with a fun message also. You already know the rhyming word," the post caption reads. instamart randomly gave free tinday with my delivery today and a rather fun message also. you already know the rhyming word 💁🏽‍♀️ pic.twitter.com/2EgL7RPveo— eesh (@dosacat_) November 19, 2024 As soon as the post was shared on social media, it captured the audience’s attention and the company won applause for its creative and unique approach to spreading the important message to all the citizens. “Good game," a user wrote. The voting for the single-phase Maharashtra assembly elections began on Wednesday at 7 am and will end at 6 pm. Polling is taking place in 288 assembly constituencies. However, Swiggy Instamart also recently faced backlash on social media after a user expressed his disappointment over receiving underweight vegetables. In a lengthy Redditt post, the user said the actual quantity of vegetables he received fell short of what was mentioned in the app. The user was amazed to see the cauliflower he purchased from the app, actually weighs just 145 grams. But it was listed as 400 to 600 grams on the Swiggy app. He further mentioned that following the incident, he examined the weights of other vegetables and discovered that the majority of them were underweight.
