According to sources familiar with the situation, the company could file an updated draft of the red herring prospectus as soon as this week. This valuation represents a significant increase from an earlier target of approximately $11 billion. A recent rights issue and the success of other IPOs in India, such as the one by HDB Financial Services Ltd., another shadow lender, have positively influenced the Tata Group subsidiary. HDB experienced strong demand and raised around $1.5 billion during its offering.
