About JANA Small Finance Bank

  • JANA Small Finance Bank (formerly known as Janalakshmi Financial Services) headquartered in Bangalore, is engaged in providing a wide range of banking and financial services. The company operates through Treasury, Corporate/Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, and Other banking operations. It offers current and savings accounts, as well as regular fixed, demand, term, and recurring deposits. The company also provides various types of loans such as MSME loans, home, and home improvement, gold loans, agricultural and allied loans, loans for school fees and debt consolidation, function loans, etc.
  • The company is incorporated in July 24, 2006. It registered as an NBFC on March 4, 2008, and was awarded non-banking finance company-microfinance institution (“NBFC-MFI”) status on September 5, 2013.
  • JANA Small Finance Bank started operating as a small finance bank with effect from March 28, 2018 and became a Scheduled Commercial Bank on July 16, 2019.
  • As of March 31, 2020, Jana Small Finance Bank, among all small finance banks in India, had the 2nd-most geographically diverse portfolio with a pan-India presence.
  • As of February 28, 2021, Jana Small Finance Bank had 134 ATMs spread over 229 districts in 19 states and three union territories, 611 branches, including 166 branches in unbanked rural centers.
  • Since 2008, Jana Small Finance Bank has provided services to nearly 8 million clients, including about 3.05 million live clients.
