About PNB FINANCE & INDUSTRIES

  • PNB Finance & Industries Limited was originally established in 1894 as The Punjab National Bank Limited. In 1970, the Central Government acquired its banking operations under the Banking Companies (Acquisition & Transfer of Undertakings) Act. Consequently, in 1976, the company was renamed PNB Finance Limited.
  • The Company forayed into the business of investment in debt and equity mutual funds, fixed deposits, non-convertible debentures (NCDs), government bonds, and equity shares of both listed and unlisted companies and got its name changed to PNB Finance & Industries Limited in 1981.
  • In the year 1998, the Company was registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a Non-Banking Financial Company.
  • As a Type-I NBFC, the company does not accept public deposits and has no customer-facing operations, reflecting its conservative approach towards risk.
  • The company has its registered office located in New Delhi and is also listed on the Calcutta Stock Exchange.
