Financial Performance (FY26 Numbers & Projections):
Elofic Industries Limited generated total revenue from operations of ₹459.6 crore in FY26, reflecting a modest growth of 2.1% from ₹450.1 crore in FY25. Total income reached ₹487.0 crore. This was helped by a significant increase in Other Income, which rose to ₹27.4 crore from ₹11.5 crore in FY25, mainly driven by treasury and forex activities. Operating EBITDA decreased by 19.7% to ₹89.7 crore, down from ₹111.7 crore. This led to an EBITDA margin drop of 5.3 percentage points to 19.5% from 24.8%. The decline in operating margin was caused by rising raw material costs, which climbed from 43.3% to 46.4% of revenue, and higher employee benefit expenses that increased from 13.6% to 15.6% of revenue. Profit Before Tax (PBT) fell by 10.4% to ₹96.5 crore, but Profit After Tax (PAT) remained almost unchanged at ₹76.0 crore, a slight decrease of 1.6% from ₹77.3 crore. This resulted in a PAT margin of 16.5%. The bottom line was supported by non-operating treasury gains and a lower effective tax rate of 21.2%, compared to 28.3% in FY25. Looking forward, management has set a public growth target of ₹700 crore in annual sales by FY28.
Operational Metrics:
Elofic is a 75-year-old manufacturer of filters, producing about 85 million filters each year across six manufacturing facilities located in Faridabad, Nalagarh, and Hosur. The company operates through three main sales channels: OEMs, domestic aftermarket, and exports. Exports make up around 45% of total revenue, mainly supplying US OEMs with support from domestic US warehouses. The domestic operations include a vast distribution network of approximately 1,400 distributors and 55,000 dealers. On the balance sheet, Elofic increased its total assets by 23% to ₹473.6 crore in FY26, entirely funded through equity without adding long-term debt. Total debt stands at about ₹3.1 crore in lease liabilities, resulting in a Debt-to-Equity ratio of roughly 0.01x. Thanks to strict working capital management and quicker customer payments, trade receivables fell from ₹84.8 crore to ₹68.3 crore, boosting cash and equivalents to ₹62.1 crore, which is a 16-fold increase from ₹3.8 crore in FY25. Return on Equity (ROE) adjusted to 18.5%, down from 23.2% in FY25.
Key Project Executions & Order Book:
Elofic has significant domestic and international OEM partnerships with vehicle and engine manufacturers, including Tata Motors, Royal Enfield, General Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Kohler, and Action Construction Equipment (ACE). Operating cash flows rose by 69% year-on-year to ₹78.2 crore, up from ₹46.3 crore in FY25. Management invested this cash flow into a record capital expenditure program, with FY26 capex increasing to ₹119.3 crore, nearly seven times higher than ₹17.5 crore in FY25. This substantial investment focuses on expanding plant capacity, improving plant automation, and upgrading processing technology for next-generation filter media, including synthetic blends, melt-blown media, and nano-fiber technologies.
Strategic Developments & Outlook:
Elofic's long-term strategy centers on technological differentiation and premiumization in core filter media to deal with price competition in the aftermarket segment. The company operates a specialized R&D center recognized by DSIR, which holds nine granted patents and has 11 pending patents. To mitigate raw material price fluctuations and domestic margin pressures, Elofic is capitalizing on its expanding international presence. The current multi-year capex phase positions Elofic to capture future filtration demand across the automotive, tractor, industrial, and heavy transport sectors while maintaining a strong, debt-free balance sheet.
