Bhatkawa Tea Industries Limited Result Update FY24

Bhatkawa Tea Industries Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter and year ending March 31, 2024. The company saw a 10.4% increase in annual revenue from operations, growing from Rs. 37 cr. in FY23 to Rs. 41 cr. in FY24. Additionally, the total income rose by 14.7%, from Rs. 39 cr. in FY23 to Rs. 44 cr. in FY24. 

However, in the fourth quarter, the company experienced an 11.4% decrease in total income, which fell from Rs. 4.7 cr. in Q4 FY23 to Rs. 4.1 cr. in Q4 FY24. Total expenses for the quarter increased by 16.8%, rising from Rs. 8.6 cr. in Q4 FY23 to Rs. 10 cr. in Q4 FY24, with employee benefit expenses being the major contributor, surging by 25.7%. Due to higher expenses and reduced income, the net loss widened by 46.0%, increasing from Rs. 4.3 cr. in Q4 FY23 to Rs. 6.3 cr. in Q4 FY24. 

Overall, the year-on-year results were strong, with net profit significantly rising from Rs. 2 cr. in FY23 to Rs. 6 cr. in FY24. Consequently, the net profit margin improved from 6.1% to 15.7%.
