According to information on market regulator SEBI's website, Oravel Stays Limited, the parent company of Softbank-backed hotel aggregator Oyo, filed a request for exemption late last month. According to a notice on the website, the request is being processed, but there are no specifics on the sort of exemption sought. According to people familiar with the situation, Oyo is asking SEBI for permission to publish an amended draft prospectus rather than a fresh one because there have been significant changes since it filed for an IPO late last year.
