Noida: Despite a case being registered against a private contractor and a truck driver for illegally felling trees at a factory compound previously owned by South Korean automobile maker Daewoo Motors in Surajpur a few weeks ago, 500 more trees were found to have been chopped on Monday. The forest department has started an investigation. Of the trees chopped, most were palm and neem trees, officials said.
