Agri Department Raids 3 Fertilizer Mfg Factories in Bhilwara

• Following the instructions of agriculture minister Kirori Lal Meena, a team led by joint director Naval Kishore Meena from the Jaipur agriculture commissioner's office arrived in Bhilwara on around 20th June 2025.
• They conducted raids at Ostwal Phosphom Company Limited, Indian Potash Limited, and Gayatri Spinner Limited in Hamirgarh. During this operation, the team stopped sale of 38,000 bags of single super phosphate (SSP) and issued a show-cause notice to IPL factory operator.
• Joint director of Bhilwara agriculture department, Vinod Kumar Jain, stated that under the leadership of Naval Kishore Meena, the team first took significant action at Ostwal company. Bags of SSP were found stored on the ground, risking damage due to moisture. Samples were collected and sent for laboratory testing. Additionally, lab technicians in the factory were instructed to undergo training at the Central Fertilizer Control Institute in Faridabad every three years.
• On the same day, during an inspection at Indian Potash Limited in Bhilwara, it was found that the bags of SSP were not stored batch-wise, and printed batch numbers were removed. Sale of 38,000 bags of SSP was stopped.
