The healthcare sector is currently driving tech spending in the US as it needs to increase automation to cut down on manual effort expenditure, Rajan Kohli, CEO of specialized healthcare technology services solutions provider, CitiusTech told Fe. Further, the industry is highly profitable so there are no budgetary constraints, he added. “If you can improve automation and cut manual effort by even half, billions of dollars will get saved,” Kohli said. He said that in BPO manual effort cost is not high, but in healthcare, it is expensive because doctors or qualified physicians examine cases and take a call on the procedure to be adopted.
