Blackbuck EV collaborates with Sika Automotive for lightweight vehicle development

Blackbuck EV, a Hyderabad-based startup focusing on lightweight skateboard electric bus
platforms in India, and Sika Automotive, a provider of sealing, bonding, damping and reinforcing
solutions, have announced a collaboration to enhance lightweight vehicle structure design.
Blackbuck EV recently introduced the ELON 3X model, a lightweight EV platform made of
materials like composites, aluminium, and stainless steel. This design needs advanced adhesive
and bonding solutions, leading to the partnership with Sika, a company operating globally and
providing solutions for multiple vehicle segments. Blackbuck EV chose to use Sika's adhesives
because of their expertise in bonding different materials and ensuring adherence to global
standards, according to a statement.
