Deependra Singh Rathore is new CTO for payments at One 97 Communications

One 97 Communications, the parent company of fintech firm Paytm, has named Deependra Singh Rathore as the new chief technology officer (CTO) for payments. Rathore, who previously served as a senior vice president in charge of technology at Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) since 2016, will now lead the technology efforts for payments at Paytm. As part of this transition, Manmeet Singh Dhody, the former CTO of payments, has taken on the role of AI Fellow. A Paytm spokesperson expressed excitement about Rathore's new role: "As India's leading tech innovator, we have always championed innovations that drive mobile payments and inclusive financial service distribution to the masses. We are excited to see Deependra Singh Rathore step into the role of CTO and build for financial services in the AI age." Additionally, the spokesperson welcomed Manmeet as an AI Fellow, emphasizing the role in accelerating the integration of AI-driven processes across the company's operations.
