ESL organises tech fest at Bokaro plant

Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited of Vedanta Group hosted TechUtsav at its Siyaljori plant premises as part of its ongoing Digital Month 2.0 initiative. The event aimed to cultivate innovation, collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the technology community. It was inaugurated by VP and head corporate venture capital and spark, Vedanta Limited, Amitesh Sinha. Supreme Court asks TN govt for response on reopening Vedanta's copper smelting plant. Vedanta agrees to valuation and compliance. Competing concerns of public health, environment, national interest, residents' safety, closure principles, impact assessment, loss, findings, compensation, and sustainability discussed. Hearing ongoing.The Supreme Court asks the Tamil Nadu government to respond to the viability of Vedanta's closed copper smelting plant. A panel will examine the plant's reopening with strict conditions. Tamil Nadu opposes reopening, citing danger to residents and environmental damage.
