Foundation for ‘world’s largest eyewear manufacturing facility’ to be laid in Tukkuguda near Hyderabad on March 6

Eyewear maker Lenskart will lay the foundation stone for its manufacturing facility at the non-SEZ General Park in Tukkuguda, near Hyderabad on Thursday (March 06, 2025).

IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu will participate in the programme marking the beginning of a project that is expected to be completed within two years. It will be world’s largest eyewear manufacturing facility, officials in the Minister’s office said without sharing details. The company had entered into an MoU with Telangana government in December. It had committed to invest Rs.1,500 crore to establish the manufacturing plant. The project is expected to generate 2,100 jobs.
