Home ministry ropes in Razorpay to boost cyber security around digital payments ecosystem

Fintech major Razorpay announced on Monday that it has partnered with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) to enhance cybersecurity within the digital payments ecosystem in India. The collaboration aims to empower businesses and end customers with the essential knowledge to protect themselves while promoting widespread awareness of cybersecurity nationwide. Recent data from the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal revealed a significant increase in digital fraud incidents in India, with over 7,000 complaints reported daily between January and April 2024.
