NEW DELHI: The government is looking at roping in private players for route optimization of the Indian Postal network. The department of posts under the Ministry of Communications is looking at route optimization of its network. It is learnt that the PPP (public-private-partnership) option for the endeavour is under discussion and some agreements have been finalised for boosting order fulfillment. A lion's share of India Post's revenues comes from the parcels and it wants to optimize that because that's where they want to maximize the revenues, experts feel.
