NSE to conduct special trading session on March 2

National Stock Exchange (NSE) on February 14 said it will conduct a special trading session on March 2 with intra day switch over to disaster recovery site. The move aims to strengthen the exchanges in the event of any unforeseen incident, which may impact their operations.

The trading session will be in both equity and equity derivatives segments, said NSE. "Members are requested to note that Exchange shall be conducting a special live trading session with intra-day switch over from Primary site to Disaster Recovery site on Saturday, March 02, 2024, in Equity and Equity Derivatives segments," NSE said in a circular on Wednesday.

First trading session will be held from 9:15 am-10 am. Second trading session will be held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The special session was to be held on January 20 but due to Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, a full-fledged trading session was held on January 20 and January 22 was declared a holiday for equity markets.
