Surekha Marandi Returns To Satya MicroCapital As Independent Director

SATYA MicroCapital reappoints Surekha Marandi, a former Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and a prominent financial inclusion expert, as an Independent Director for a second consecutive five-year term. The decision was formalized during the company's 2nd Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). Surekha's second term will commence on February 28, 2025.

Surekha brings over 3 decades of experience in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector. During her tenure at the RBI, which concluded in July 2019, she supervised crucial departments related to financial inclusion, customer education, and communication. Her expertise extends to policy formulation on priority sectors, microfinance, and the regulation of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Her extensive leadership experience includes serving as a Nominee Director at United Bank and Bank of Baroda, and as a member of the Board of the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority.
