Titagarh Wagons and Texmaco Rail &
Engineering are among five companies
that together won a crore order
to supply 60,000 wagons to the Indian
Railways, officials in the know said.
Hindustan Engineering Industries,
Commercial Engineer & Body Builders
co (CEBBCO) and Oriental Foundry
are the other companies that got the contract, they said. The wagons need to
be delivered by fiscal year 2025-26.
Titagarh Wagons got the largest share of the order at 24,177 units worth
Z9,249.48 crore. Texmaco Rail has the second highest order at 20,067 wagons
with a value of æ7,615.18 crore.
