​Ajinkya Dhariya is a mechanical engineer and the founder of Padcare Labs, a social enterprise focused on tackling the issue of menstrual waste disposal. He is an innovator and entrepreneur who has created a sustainable solution to help reduce the environmental impact of sanitary napkin waste​

​In 2018, Dhariya was disturbed by the sight of used sanitary pads hanging on a tree during a trip, prompting him to investigate the issues surrounding menstrual waste. He discovered that most used pads ended up in landfills, where they decompose slowly and pollute the environment. This led him to create a solution to safely dispose of and recycle used pads​

​The mission of Padcare Labs is to provide a sustainable and hygienic solution for menstrual waste disposal. Their technology not only reduces the environmental impact but also improves menstrual hygiene by providing safe disposal methods for used pads​

​Padcare Labs developed a patented device capable of collecting, sanitizing, and recycling used sanitary napkins. The device processes up to 1,500 pads per day and converts them into recyclable materials like plastic pellets, contributing to waste reduction.​
