According to statistics gathered from online travel firms, rates on several domestic trunk routes have risen by 15-30% in the previous few weeks. According to Ixigo, the online travel firm, one-way flight from Delhi to Mumbai between February 25 and March 3 was Rs 5,119, up from Rs 4,055 for reservations between February 1 and 7. The price of a one-way trip from Kolkata to Delhi has risen by 29% to Rs 6,114 from Rs 4,725. On domestic routes, airlines must price their tickets in a rate band for a 15-day rolling period. In the middle of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, airlines have raised costs owing to rising crude oil prices.
