Investments by Reliance Retail in Big Cola , Aakash Namkeen

After successfully acquiring the soft drink company Campa, Reliance Retail is eager to expand its portfolio with additional fast-moving consumer goods companies. In addition to purchasing Indore-based Aakash Namkeen Pvt. Ltd., the company is anticipated to enter a joint venture deal with AJE India, the manufacturer of the fizzy beverage brand Big Cola.

AJE Group, established in Peru, manages its operations in India from its regional office in Pune. Its beverage portfolio includes the brands Big Cola, Big Orange, Volt energy drink, and Cfruit. To take use of the business's current manufacturing and distribution capabilities, Reliance is seeking to establish a joint venture with it.

Aakash Namkeen, which was founded in 1936, and Reliance Retail are also in discussions, according to one of the two persons who requested anonymity. The business produces namkeens, such as ratlami sev, chivda and bhel, and packaged traditional sweets including besan ladoo, gulab jamun and sohan papdi.
